In the second half of the last century an internationally acknowledged expertise in Early Music has been developed in the Netherlands (historical performance). This expertise has strongly influenced the structurally different approach to Early Music, based on historical sources.
To preserve this musical heritage the continuity of knowledge and experience acquired at the conservatories, is of vital importance.

It is the objective of the Adriana Jacoba Fonds to provide the necessary private support in order to this end. The foundation pursues this aim by financial assistance to the education of advanced conservatory students historical informed performance of Early Music.

The education can be supported particularly by donation of instruments for the benefit of the infrastructure of the department of Early Music of the Royal Conservatoire and by contributions towards costs of attending a master class, course, competition, internship or study tour as long as ressources are still avaible.

After 2025, there will be no more funds avaible for awarding of scholarships.

In de tweede helft van de vorige eeuw heeft zich in Nederland een bijzondere, internationaal erkende expertise ontwikkeld op het gebied van de Oude Muziek (historische uitvoeringspraktijk).
Deze expertise is van grote invloed geweest op de structureel andere benadering van de Oude Muziek, gekenmerkt door een consequente fundering op bronnen.
Voor behoud van dit muzikaal erfgoed is een continuïteit van de vakkennis en ervaring, opgebouwd op de conservatoria, van vitaal belang.

Het Adriana Jacoba Fonds beoogt een bijdrage te leveren aan het noodzakelijke particuliere draagvlak daartoe. Het streeft dit doel na door financiële ondersteuning van de opleiding van gevorderde conservatoriumstudenten in de historisch gefundeerde instrumentele uitvoeringspraktijk.

De opleiding kan in het bijzonder worden ondersteund door schenking van instrumenten ten behoeve van de infrastructuur van de afdeling Oude Muziek van het Koninklijk Conservatorium en door bijdragen in de kosten van deelname aan een master class, cursus, stage, concours of studiereis zolang daar nog middelen voor beschikbaar zijn

Na 2025 zijn voor toekenning van studiebeurzen geen middelen meer beschikbaar.
